ROAR

I am sure most of you have heard the song, "Roar" by Katy Perry. It is a phenomenal song and it should be everyone's favorite song. It's that good. Things have kind of sucked lately and this song is something that has kept me going. Here are some of the lyrics. Be amazed....

You held me down, but I got up
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder, gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up
Get ready cause I've had enough
I see it all, I see it now

I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me ROAR
Louder, louder than a lion
Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me ROAR
You're gonna hear me Roar

Before this song came out, I was in a stand still with my life. Just kind of floating through and going through the motions. Thank goodness this song came out. I have had this mind-set the last couple of days with this song. Especially with college starting. I am focused and I know what I want to do with my life-I got the eye of the tiger. I will study my butt off and not give up when things get hard-a fighter. I will continue to clog because that is my true passion and my love-dancing through the fire. I am a champion and everyone is going to hear me roar. I am not going to let things get in my way and ruin my focus. I will accomplish the things that I want to no matter how hard things get. When I get knocked down I will stand back up. I am not going to let anyone get in my hard anymore, I've had enough. I'm going to be me and nothing else. Big things are coming my way and I couldn't be more excited. Get ready to hear me roar...

Cha-Cha-Changes

I haven't really done a post-graduation post so I thought it would be a good idea to write one before I start college. After graduation, things were great. It was finally summer. My friends and I were all hanging out doing crazy things. I was sleeping in everyday and doing what I wanted to do. About a week after graduation, I had one of my really good friends leave on his mission. Another week after that, another one was gone. And then another, another, and... another. August has started and I have about two more really good friends to leave on their mission. To say none the less, things have changed haha. I don't really do anything anymore. I feel like all of my friends are gone (which they are) but the hard thing is that I can't just call them up and have a funny little chat with them. It is finally starting to hit me that they are actually gone and they are miles away. I'm in that weird, awkward spot where I have no friends and I don't really have anything else to do. That is one thing that has changed since graduation.

hahahahaha... this is humerous...

Since summer has started I have been spending a lot more time up at Weber State as an Ambassador. I love it. I love being up there and being with a group of awesome people. They are all out of control and we get along really well. I am meeting new people and it is getting me so excited to start college for real. We have new student orientations about once every week. These are my favorite. I have to opportunity to give students a tour of campus and the wonderful Weber State University. It's a blast and I am so grateful for this amazing experience. Loving the transition and change from high school to college. I have also realized that I am SO ready for college... I am sick and tired of people still living in high school even though we have graduated. There is still pointless drama that is an unnecessary evil. I just want to get to college and meet some real friends for once...

Look at this awesome school.... it's fantastic.

Being in that awkward stage of no friends and just floating through life, I have been hanging out with my more than I normally do. My brother-in-law told me the other day, "Once I graduated from high school, I was tired of the back stabbing that was happening in my life. I decided to forget my friends and just spend time with my family. Your family won't hurt you and they will always be there for you." This brother-in-law of my is a freakin' genius. This hit me really hard and I have decided to spend more time with my family. Friends will come and go, but your family never will. I spend a lot of time with my family anyway, but I want to spend more time with them if that is even possible ha. My sister and her son Zach came with my mom and I to Arizona. It was the best Arizona trip that I've been on because she was there. I spent more time with her than with my clogging studio. We had so much fun together and we are eight years apart. I look up to her so much and it was great to get closer with her. We were 'def totes cray cray..." :)

This is a picture of Sarah and I when we pranked Max by filling his car with many balloons... So awesome on so many levels :)

I'm in the stage in my life where I am ready to move on. I am ready to start my real life and become more responsible. Bring it on. Loving the changes that are happening in my life. Everything happens for a reason.... and I'm going to be happy no matter what happens.

hahaha... gotta love some grumpy cat... :)

Sharing The Basement With An Unknown Presence

I have a ghost that lives with me in the basement. I am not even exaggerating one bit.. Ghosts are real. I have a few stories that I will be sharing that are actual prove of the paranormal living in my basement. For years I thought I was the only one in the basement.... wrong. Phillip lives down here with me as well. The first encounter of the paranormal activity terrified me, but this ghost is just alone and needs a friend. I have named him Phillip and I am learning to accept him for who he is. Phillip is starting to grow on me... so no harsh judgements about this post. Phillip will get you if you do.

A couple of weeks ago, I was downstairs with mi madre. We were just sitting and chatting of random things when BOOM!! The TV turns on mysteriously. The screen was bright blue and we sat there in amazement. This was when Phillip first arrived. He was just saying a plesent hello, in a very strange way. He likes to randomly surprise me as well. Another time I was sleeping over with my best friend Courtney, and the Wii turned on and made a fuzzy white noise sound. It was scary... I was freakin. He obviously didn't like Courtney being in the room. Totally understandable... He really only likes me. Lastly, I was upstairs making a delicious sandwich when Max's door slammed shut! It was like the movies when doors slam shut... I should've been on TV it was that real. These are just a few encounters of my friendly Phillip the ghost. I am going to respect him and keep most of his activities private. I don't want to upset him. Scared something bad might happen. Here a a few pictures of Phillip living in my basement! Again... no harsh judgements. I have a feeling that he is very insecure about himself and that he is very timid. I mean, it's taking him about 7 years to make his presence known to us. It was very difficult to catch him on camera... he is a sneaky little Phillip.

In this picture, Phillip is just trying to get is work-out on. He is kind of really tall....

Phillip is taking a peak into the basement from Eric's room. I think that is where he has been hiding for the last 7 years. Creepy...

Well.. there you have it! I am living with Phillip the ghost as of now and life is pretty exciting because of him. I will be updating more pictures and more experiences of the supernatural in future blog posts. The fun as only just begun with this ghost. I know this because I can feel ghosts' auras...

Happy Happy Happy

Alright so before I begin, I have to give a shout out to my best friend Courtney Hamilton. She had the idea for the clever title of my new blog. Yeah.... 25 cool points for her. Also, go check out her new blog. c-shortney.blogspot.com. It's awesome. She's awesome. That is all...

"This Is What Happy Looks Like." Love this title. I am the type of girl that loves to have fun and I enjoy being happy. Hence the title. For kicks and giggles, here is a picture of what happy looks like. Enjoy...

If this doesn't make you laugh... you have no soul. Props to my nephew Zach for being so dang happy.

I made this new blog for a plethora of reasons. I am moving on to the one of the greatest parts of my life. I just graduated from High School and I couldn't be any happier. Yeah it was fun and all... but I was ready to be done. I am now done with cheer, band, and all high school activities. Woot! This next part of my life will be a clean, fresh start. I decided that I should start a new blog as well. Start new and leave the old behind. There will be fun posts and I hope they will brighten your day. I think I am pretty happy... well most of the time... so there you have it! This Is What Happy Looks Like!! :)

hahaha... this picture makes me laugh. Cats and bacon. What could be better?
